SANTA CATALINA (D. Trimmer) Tetraploid (Victorian Lace x Kaskel Sdlg. Best Edge”) 25” EM Re. Ev. 5 ½” This round ruffled full formed cultivar has several faces during the bloom season. She begins as a clear pink with a circular rouge eye surrounded by a large bubbly gold edge. During the season she pales out to an icy pink and almost completely gives up her eye. The entire plant remains low with the compact scapes holding the 25 buds per scape on two or three lateral branches. Santa Catalina is beautiful throughout the season; fertile, vigorous, yet another “Best edge” baby. |
