WORTHY OF DISTINCTION

WORTHY OF DISTINCTION (Angelo Brunetti) Tetraploid (Seedling x Seedling) 24” M. Dormant “WORTHY” is the first cultivar we’ve introduced that is not from our breeding. It is special! I received “WORTHY” as a small plant late in my season two years ago. It managed to bloom with only a couple of flowers that despite the modest size of the plant the blooms still looked just like this image. This year “WORTHY” bloomed for me with 46 perfect blooms on the first scape. I set pods on almost every bloom until about half way through the season and then I stopped due to guilt (smile.) The flower is a very clean pastel yellow with slight pink tint early in the bloom season. Every bloom consistently had all segments covered with teeth! “WORTHY” passes on teeth to its children, which can be much larger than “WORTHY” itself. I talked Angelo into letting me introduce this stunning (and very important) plant, so it will be available this fall with only a few dozen plants.
