FLORENCE DENNY ( D. Trimmer) Tetraploid (Great White x Tetra Tuscawilla Snowdrift) 28” EM. Re. Ev. 8 ½” inches. This flower is named to honor the mother of our friend Donna Bleck of New Mexico. Thank you, Dan Hansen, for converting TUSCAWILLA SNOWDRIFT, which helped me to create this huge bloom. At times the blooms are only 7 ½ inches across while at other times they exceed 9 inches. Rather easily fertile both ways, I’ve created many large, circular, deeply ruffled offspring which I will evaluate in the future. Florence has a typical bud count of about 22 and the color of the bloom can range from ivory in the heat to pale yellow in cooler weather. |
