We have not done a lot of red breeding the past several years as AHS tastes have desired reds with fancy gold edges. In our garden in the full sun those we have purchased has turned to orange tones by late morning. SHAKESPEAR’S RED holds its color in the full sun all day, and every afternoon visitor this past year spoke of purchasing it. Very pod fertile, I can’t wait to see the seedlings where I crossed it with TETRA EMERALD STARBURST, not an easy feat in the full sun at 92 degrees! This bright saturated red has a nice gold band and makes excellent babies. |
