GILLIAN

(Dan Trimmer, 1999). Tet (Moonlit Masquerade x Tetra Dragon’s Eye) Evergreen 4 3/4” E Re 26” This lavender with a large dark purple eye is a sibling to CELEBRATION OF ANGELS, and has been another stellar parent coming out of Tetra Dragon’s Eye breeding. Extremely pod fertile, I made more pods on GILLIAN than any other single cultivar in the garden this past bloom season. Both GILLIAN and CELEBRATION OF ANGELS sat in standing water for several weeks, and while I lost zero CELEBRATION OF ANGELS several GILLIAN perished in the heat and wet. I’m new to southern gardening, and honestly don’t know if GILLIAN will be reliably durable in Florida. It is northern hardy, but I couldn’t release it without telling you it’s history.
