LEMONFELLOW

(Dan Trimmer, 1998). Diploid (Spider Miracle x Cats Cradle) 32” EM Dor In my exploration of searching diploids to convert I sometimes make some diploid seed to see the potential of a conversion candidate. Such was the case with LEMONFELLOW. I wanted to get the plant vigor and petal segment movement of Spider Miracle and the long skinny petals of Cats Cradle. I did a large cross and got what is to my taste the best yellow spider I have seen. LEMONFELLOW is a vigorous grower and rapid increaser making small plants that do well in Florida and Long Island. There are usually two lateral branches and 20 buds on scapes that typically do not fall to the ground even when multiple blooms are opened on the same scape. The 11” yellow self with green throat consistently appears as in my photo. LEMONFELLOW has 7” x 1 1/4” petals making it a better than 5 to 1 spider.
